On Thursday, Dyer said that the boat set to return about 04:00 p.m. local time. An employee of the rental boat company found the boat on the north end of Lake Piru. The son of Rivera was on the boat, whereas, she was nowhere to be found. The boy was wearing a life jacket, and another was on the boat.

Investigators tried to investigate Rivera’s son, and they didn’t get any important points. The boat not fastened when found; also, it was not near the shore. The zone where the boat was present is around thirty feet deep.

Captain Eric Buschow, a spokesperson for the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, previously said that the boy and his mother went swimming and that she did not come back on the boat.

On Thursday morning, Dyer confirmed the child’s good health and his presence with the family. CNN approached the representatives of Rivera for additional details.
